valentines garland

I know that it's already the week of Valentines Day and I'm a few weeks late setting up the red and pink around the house, but hey... at least I got to it! I don't typically like the Valentines decorations you find in the stores, it's usually pretty cheesy {not that I don't like cheesy}, but you know what I mean. I was kinda stumped on how to decorate this year. I went to hobby lobby {for things other than this, which always seems to be the case when I go into that store, I always buy things I don't go in for}, and I found these little pom poms. It got me thinking... A Valentines garland??? Why not. I already had a needle and thread at home, so if it didn't turn out, I wouldn't be too sad because I only spent $5.

For the garland, all you need is thick thread {I used beading thread for jewelry}, a needle, and pom poms of your choice. It's really easy. Just thread the pom poms, and they should stay in place if you use thick enough string. They took me less than five minutes to make and I was done! Easyyyy. So, if you want a little pink and red around your house, it's not too late to make a garland {mine will probably stay up the entire month of February... Let's be honest}.

Happy Crafting!
