Local Utahans tell me that this weather is not normal {I don't believe them}. It's been zero degrees {literally} this entire week. As you can imagine, I have very little motivation to get out of bed in the morning, let alone walk outside. You could say that this past weekend consisted of Brad and I being nothing but hermits. It's beautiful, but freezing. So so so cold. When we got back from California, our car was completely frozen over, which led to a battle between my husband, the weather, and our frost bitten car. Eventually we got the doors open, now getting the gas door open was a completely different story that involved a knife, warm water, and lots of embarrassing mumbling under my breath. These days I am so thankful for a warm apartment, warm water, warm clothes, pretty much anything with the word warm before it. I can't imagine being without in these weather conditions. The only thing that sounds good these days is a book, coffee, and my warmest blanket. As a matter of fact, I think I have a date with those three things after work.

hehehe your so cute.

Ugh, I'm shivering thinking about it. We went through a week or so of intensely cold (single digits or lower) weather in VA about three years ago. My word. So cold!
ReplyDeleteA good time to drink tea, cocoa, and watch old movies : )

ReplyDeleteDon't let the Utahans lie to you! This is normal weather for January. I hate it. SOOOO cold! And depressing with the inversion. Do you guys get the inversion down there too? Ugh. Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteDon't let the Utahans lie to youZ! This IS normal weather for January, we just didn't have it last year because it was a mild winter. Ugh, I hate it. S depressing, especially with the inversion. Do you guys get the inversion down there too?? Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteCome up to montreal Canada then we can talk cold:)
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
I agree with K8te. I love your scarf too.
ReplyDeleteI wish it would get cold...really cold...at least once here in Oklahoma. We need a good freeze.
It's something hard to get used to, yes. Last year when we still lived in Ankara, we had sub-zero Fahrenheit temperatures for awhile, but the difference with us is we had no cars; we walked everywhere in that weather. Our apartment was also not warm. We could not get away from the cold! The locals also told us that last winter was not normal for Ankara either. I had a hard time believing that too. Enjoy your warm home, though- that I can't relate to!
ReplyDeleteGreat scarf! You look happy girl!
ReplyDeleteIt is so, so cold over here too!
ReplyDeleteLove your scarf!
That temperature sounds terrible, but a really good excuse to be a couch potato... and dress in fabulous coats and scarves (which you're already doing, that scarf omgggg!)
ReplyDeleteKeep warm and drink coco :)

Ugh! That sounds terrible! A blanket and warm coffee sound like the perfect hibernation scheme. Just keep thinking about how great the summer will be in a few months! That's what keeps me going!
ReplyDelete:) It usually isn't this cold! but I definitely understand, I haven't wanted to get out of my bed either!
