my first juicing recipe / consider me a juicing-a-holic

Consider me officially addicted to juicing. This thing is doing wonders over here in my overall physical and mental health. Brad and I have been waking up together every morning to juice together. It is amazing how starting off the day with natural nutrients gives me so much more energy. I stay full for a few hours, but the real difference I notice is the foods that my body now craves. I don't crave crap anymore. The first few days I had major headaches, most likely due to no processed sugar, but now I feel amazing. I know it has only been a week, but I'm already starting to feel different. Let's hope that I can keep this juicing thing up, because it does all types of wonders for this body of mine. No more bloating, a healthy digestive tract, and l don't need as much coffee {I know, crazy right?!} . Don't worry, I still have my daily cup of joe, but I crave juice now in the morning.

Here is my favorite juice recipe so far...
{This recipe is for one person, so usually I double the ingredients when I juice for Brad and I}

*6 leafs of kale {I use 2 different types of kale}
*3 large carrots
*1 medium beet
*1 green apple
*1 thumb size piece of ginger

Pure healthy goodness! My body is cheering inside.

Do you have a favorite juicing recipe?

  2. That combo sounds great! Our favorite was just a simple apple and carrot juice; about 6 carrots to 2 apples. It tasted the best. We also tried one with honeydew melon, mint, lemon, pear, and apple, and it was really good too!

  12. I have to try this - quick question: does the beet need to be raw? And which juicer do you use? I'm sure being a juicing-a-holic is much more healthy than being a coffee-addict ;-))

  14. My favorite is 2 pears, a 1" piece of ginger, half a lime, 1 cup packed of spinach or kale, and 4 celery stalks. I use the vitamix and blend with ice, but the original recipe is for a juicer.
