Simple is best. A fresh start calls for clean whites and crisp blacks. Instead of going out and buying a lot of new things, I rearranged. I did buy new white shelves from ikea for our kitchen, because the storage in our apartment is itty bitty. So it wasn't entirely old stuff... I wish I would've had these shelves lying around. I gravitate towards the white appliances every time I'm in a store {especially target or ikea}. I stand in the white ceramics and swoon over everything... Is that weird? Maybe a little bit.
Anyways, I'm really liking 2013, I now have the motivation to keep our place c-l-e-a-n. When March rolls around remind me of my January motivation, k?

Such a great color palette. I feel like I buy things piecemeal because I like them and then nothing matches! Black and white is a pretty fool proof way to go. Good luck with your 2013 cleaning goals!
