3 years of marriage, 7 years of being us.

love him. love him. love him.

Today, this guy and I have been married for 3 years. 3 years. woof.

We've been married for 3 years, but have been us for a little over 7.

In the past 7 years together...
-We went on our first date in October of 2005.
-This guy asked me to be his girlfriend at my sweet 16th birthday party.
-He stole my first kiss on November 4, 2005 {he was my first and only kiss. He on the other hand was a ladies man in middle and high school before me ;) }.
-We went to Prom in 2006.
-He graduated from high school.
-We endured a year apart when Brad went off to college, and I was stuck in high school.
-He stuck by my side when I was so so sick my senior year of high school.
-I graduated from high school {finally}.
-We went to Oregon State together.
-I watched countless hours of college baseball in all weather conditions.
-We stuck together after almost every summer apart {he went off to play baseball in other states, I worked up at a camp}.
-We got engaged in the summer of 2009.
-We got married in December of 2009.
-We've shared 7 Christmases, 16 birthdays, 8 Thanksgivings, and lots more holidays.
-We've watched friends get married.
-We've lived in 4 different locations, 2 different states.
-We've been dirt poor college students together.
-We graduated from college in the spring of 2012.
-We've shared in the joys of getting our first jobs.
-We've seen each other at our rawest moments, and I have to say this guy knows me better than I know myself sometimes.

There is no one who I would rather spend my life growing old with. This man is one in a million. He loves the Lord with all of his heart, and strives to be a Godly leader in our marriage. He encourages me in my walk with Jesus, and never stops blessing me with the love God has given him to give to me. He is strong, courageous, and brave. I don't know anyone who has been through so much, yet stays incredibly solid and humble through it all. He is too good for me, and I can honestly admit that. He is. I thank the Lord for blessing me with such an incredible husband and best friend.

Happy Wedding Anniversary, Bradley. Thanks for sticking with me and choosing me to be your bride. I love you.

  15. Beautiful post! My husband and I have been together for 47 years (I am 63--so we got started early.(My husband is also a very godly man, he reads and studies the Bible everyday. We read it together each night, and he has taught me so much more than I've heard from most sermons. We have stuck together through many, many things, including the death of our first child--she was 31 when she died of an undetected heart condition in her sleep almost 15 years ago---the most awful times of our life together, but we got even closer. I respect and love him more each year. Now--I hope it will be the same for you! Somehow--I get the feeling if you put the Lord in the middle of you both--you'll still be together for life!
