Friday was Brad's birthday. He wanted nothing more than a laid-back day, so that's exactly what he got.

He woke up to cinnamon rolls, fresh coffee, and a few gifts. He loves cinnamon rolls, and since I never make them {due to my gluten-intolerance, and I have yet to find a good gf recipe}, I treated him to some fresh bakery ones full of gluten {the forbidden ingredient in our house}. I even added pumpkin spice to his coffee.

He worked Friday, and since Friday is my day off, I put together a little party table while he was at work. I couldn't help myself. If he didn't want a party, I would create a party table at least.

Last year I threw him a surprise party, and he about had a heart attack. Husbands orders for this year was no party. So, I refrained. And. It. Killed. Me. I really wanted to. I mean it's his 25th for crying out loud. But, what the birthday boy wants, the birthday boy gets {or does not get, in this case of no party}.

When he got home from work, we went out to dinner, and saw the new Batman movie at the dollar theater. The movie was awesome. I only buried my head into his shoulder a few times... If you've seen the movie, you know which scenes I'm referring to. It's a little scary at times, but I loved it.

We got home, and were so full from dinner, that we didn't eat any birthday cake. But don't worry, Brad ate his cheesecake for breakfast Saturday morning.

Talk about a raging 25th :)

  1. I have a great gf cinnamon roll recipe! I'll try to find it and get it to you. They are easy to make and delicious! We have them every Christmas morning, and of course they could easily be turned into caramel rolls.

  4. Aw, that is so sweet of you to prepare a party table as a surprise for him! I think celebrating with Batman and cinnamon rolls was an excellent idea.

  9. I found the gluten free cinnamon roll that I've used for years. It is amazing! Make sure to use Potato Starch, not potato flour...I did that once, it wasn't right :)

I usually make them the night before and they work great and I've made them into caramel rolls too. It made my day when I learned this recipe and the donut recipe I made. My life is happier with cinnamon rolls and donuts :)
