Saturday, Brad and I went to Salt Lake for a birthday date. There's nothing I enjoy more than spending the entire day with this man, with no schedule, no time limit, just doing whatever we feel like doing. And that's exactly how Saturday went.
We went to the new Starbucks at City Creek {of course}, and sat in there for a while. It's absolutely beautiful. Long tables, lots of comfortable seating, full of windows, and it's right downtown. I had a free drink {birthday perks of having a gold card}, obviously I got a venti pumpkin spice {one of the most expensive drinks... I even added soy}... I was gonna milk that free drink for all it was worth. It was a really fun and relaxing morning. We sat in Starbucks and went over the list of His Needs/Her Needs {All you married friends! If you haven't read that book, READ IT... It'll change your marriage}. It's funny how you always remember your own needs, but it's hard to remember your spouses needs. How self-centered can we be? Pretty self-centered if you ask me. I'm trying to memorize Brad's needs... But it's hard when I'm so used to sub-consciously only thinking about my own needs, assuming that our needs are the same. It doesn't work that way... Most likely your spouses needs couldn't be more opposite than yours. Opposites attract, right?
I made a B-line for Anthro as soon as we left Starbucks. I could spend all day in that store. It's my favorite, and my sweet husband knows it, so he endures through that hour of lusting over every item and display in the store. Poor guy... He must really love me to pretend to be interested for that hour. I'm pretty sure it's the most attractive thing when he points things out to me, and tells me how "cute" something is... Even thought he knows I think that everything in Anthro is cute, because it is. He really does that. What a guy right?
As a birthday present, he gave me $50 to spend while in Salt Lake.... Here's what I bought:

-a studded wallet from Nordstrom
-a necklace from Nordstrom
-3 coasters from Anthro
Nice choices, right?
Brad and I hadn't been to a movie in a long long LONG time, so we went to a movie, and then to dinner. We ended the night by watching the Beaver game {I don't want to talk about the game... I'm still bitter}.
Overall {minus the game}, it was a really great day. I am birthday-ed out! I feel so spoiled, and very celebrated! I'm ready to celebrate someone else now :] Good thing a lot of the people I love have birthdays in November.
Thanks again hubby for the wonderful birthday date! I feel so loved and known by you.
