fall

Fall has always been my favorite season. Every year when the leaves change color, the air gets a little crisper, warm cider and pumpkin spice lattes become your hand warmers, boots and sweaters become your daily uniform, pumpkins fill your bookshelves, candles are always burning, and the Friday night lights turn on... Ohhh yeah. That's my favorite.

There's something about this season that brings about a fresh start. I always set new goals for myself, and I tend to attack my to-do lists a little more fiercely. I make a pact with myself to eat healthier, grocery shop weekly, and plan out my meals. I work out a little harder, and I enjoy those crisp air morning runs.

Everyone just seems to be a little more productive and excited about life. I don't know what it is. Maybe it's the thought of a new school year? Even though I'm no longer in school, I still think my year starts every fall on the first day of school. I still have the urge to buy school supplies and school clothes.

There's something about freshly sharpened pencils, wouldn't you say?

  5. There's nothing like Fall. Or sharp pencils. And colorful leaves and crisp weather.

  6. Absolutely! Fall definitely lends itself to reflection and anticipation, nestled in between busy summer days and the hustle bustle of the holiday season... it's the perfect sense of slowing down and speeding up at the same time. Plus the colors, scents and tastes of Fall are simply the best!

  7. I am good friends with your cousin, Shelly Kidd, and yesterday we were shopping and somehow we got on the topic of your blog/style and how cute she thought you always looked. I am so glad she led me to your cute blog and I'm excited to follow along and get some style inspiration myself!
