diy: studded earrings

Thanks Martha Stewart for inspiring me to make my own studded earrings.

Every Thursday night, some of the coaches wives who go to CenterPoint get together and have a craft night. It's a chance to have some girl time and talk coaches wife lingo :] Since it's too early to make halloween decorations, and we really don't need anything for our apartment, I thought I would craft some gifts. Thankfully, Pinterest came to the rescue and gave me the idea to create studded earrings. Martha Stewart has a diy for studded earrings, but Michaels didn't have all of the materials I needed, so I came up with my own version.

{Materials}
-earring posts $2.99 for a pack of 30 posts
-stud stickers $2 for a pack of 18 (I bought 2 packs)
-super glue

I made 18 pairs of stud earrings for $6.99

To assemble the earrings was extremely simple. All I did was super glue the studs to the earring posts.... That's it. I'm sending the earrings to some friends as gifts, so I bought some card stock colored paper to display the earrings on.

They make the perfect gift! They're inexpensive, cute, and easy to assemble.

Have fun diy-ing!

  4. I love that you just speak the truth. You certainly don't blog for the public...it's too close to the heart. That's what I love about it. Sometimes the best reason to blog is that it just comes out better on paper/screen. Can't keep all the crazy locked up in my own little head. Carry on!
