we wanted shaved ice, but ended up with DQ instead

Sooo... apparently shaved ice is a hot commodity around here. We walked from our apartments to this cute little shaved iced stand a mile away, and it turns out, everyone else and their mom wanted shaved ice last night too. We waited in line for a good half an hour, and talked to some really cute incoming college freshman {remember those days when you were so excited to start college?}, but just couldn't handle the long line. Brad spotted the DQ sign down the road, so we quickly jumped out of line, and settled for some blizzards. It's really warm out here, so even after dark you can sit outside... So we did. AND, this is the best part, DQ was playing hits straight from the 80s.... Oh yeahhhh. It was awesome.  My kind of music on a hot summer night. AND, we enjoyed watching a couple on what appeared to be their first date... You can always tell, because the girl doesn't eat very much, and the boy rambles on and on and on without even realizing it. It was great. 

I will get my shaved ice one of these nights. I'm determined.
