Happy New Year!
I haven't had this much fun on New Years in a long time. Brad and I spent the weekend with three other close couple friends of ours. We stayed at my friend Kelsey's beach house in Neskowin. We celebrated the new year by playing lots of games, eating lots of yummy food before our resolutions to be "healthier" and "more conscious" eaters came into play, and we hung out on the beach. As you can tell by the beach pictures, the boys played in the sand, while the girls talked and walked on the beach. I love girl time, it's just so fun. Not to mention girl time with these girls. These girls know me so well, and it's always so comfortable. Our conversations this weekend lasted way past my bedtime, but none of us ever realized how late into the night they had lasted. I love conversations that are so wonderful that you lose track of time... those are the best.
The thing I loved the most about the weekend was that every conversation was centered on the Lord... I'm serious. Every conversation topic we landed on somehow always went back to God's goodness and God's grace. There's something so encouraging about being surrounded by friends who are full of God's love and God's grace. I am so thankful for my friendships, especially these ones.
I would have loved to have stayed all week at the beach, unfortunately real life had to happen.
It was the perfect weekend for bringing in the new year.
