I'm one of those people who cuts there hair as soon as it gets long, and wants it long as soon as I chop it off. I can just never decide whether I like it better long or short. Right now, I'm in the process of growing it out. I've been trying to grow my hair out since last summer. To be honest, it's come a long way. These bangs are stayin, but the rest of my hair needs to grow, grow, grow! I dream of having my hair as long as it was in high school. It was SO long. Seriously down to where my belt is. I've been trying every trick in the book to make these locks grow. For example, horse shampoo. Weird, right? But it totally works. I swear by my beloved horse shampoo! A good friend taught me this trick in high school, and ever since I've wanted my hair to grow, I've been using the stuff. Another plus about horse shampoo, is that it thickens your hair. I know, you all are going to run out to your local pet store and buy yourselves some bottles, am I right? This stuff is magic in a bottle... You can all thank me later.
Wow, you hair has really gotten long since I started following you.
ReplyDeleteThis is funny, I used to use it all the time!! And now they actually carry it in my grocery store in the hair section ;)
Prenatal pills! No joke. Your nails and hair will grow like crazy. So it! I use the flinstones chewables, which sounds silly- but my Dr. said they're better than regular prenatals!!
ReplyDeleteI second the prenatal pills! I have been taking them for the last year per advice from my doctor (she said that if I was already taking a multi-vitamin, I mine as well just replace that with a prenatal vitamin instead). My hair seriously grows so fast and I highlight it -- so you can imagine how much my husband appreciates the frequents trips to the salon to touch-up my grow out :) Love your blog!
ReplyDeleteI just discovered your blog. You have such cute style! The ladies above are spot on about the prenatal pills. Not only will the pills make your hair and nails grow, your hair will be shinier and your nails stronger. I love your tribal sweater! It looks lovely with the green! - Dreama

Prenatal vitamins all the way. I swear by them! I've never tried horse shampoo though. I wonder what would happen if I used both techniques. Hair down to my booty? Deal!
ReplyDeleteThe average human hair growth is 6 inches per year. While waiting to grow it out it's essential to get a tiny trim every 2-3 months ... What it does is it strengthens the bottom of your hair so that it doesn't succumb to breakage and split ends. Your hair is shiny and pretty already ... The length will come in unfortunately, you just have to be patient :( extensions are a great way to add length, especially for special occasions ... Just use the clip on's.
ReplyDeleteWhat! I must go buy prenatal vitamins tonight. I would love if I could grow my hair longer! Hopefully this advice works.
ReplyDeleteLove your style!! This is so cute... I love all the layers and colors! :)

ReplyDeleteDo you dye your hair or is it all natural? I'm growing my hair out too and I want to go all natural! I love my blonde highlights, but my hair needs a break for a few years, eventhough I may look stupid growing it out, with these long roots I have already...
ReplyDeletewell it looks like others beat me to it but the prenatals are m-m-m-m-agic!
ReplyDeleteYou won't be able to keep up. My husband actually encourages me to go get my hair cut...
