{ sunglasses/bag/watch: Nordstrom; cape/bracelet: F21; lipstick: Revlon; scarf: Gift; trousers/wedges: Target }
{ Unfortunate }
1. Being called out in Native American Flute class, because I'm tone deaf and can't keep a tune. The professor looked right at me as we were practicing. Was I that obvious in a class of 70+ students that I didn't practice for 15 minutes everyday?
2. Gaining weight from so many birthday goodies. Seriously... I ate so much this week. It was awesome.
3. Husband calling me a bird in this cape. { I guess that's kind of a compliment? I do love birds.}.
4. Spilling the huge bucket of ice from the MU to the cafe at 6:30 in the morning. Seriously unfortunate. I slowly watched the bucket of ice teeter back and forth on the cart before rolling down the hill. Ugh. Super annoying. At least it was pitch black outside, so no one saw me!
5. Using napkins as toilet paper. Why is it so hard for me to make it to the store?
{ Fortunate }
1. Feeling the love from so many friends who care about me and wished me a happy birthday! I got lots of coffee money, chocolate, and flowers. Pure bliss.
2. Going to pizza twice this week with hubby {that means two hot dates in one week!}.
3. Double Deuces! {22}!
4. It's still crisp and sunny in Corvallis... I'm crossing my fingers it doesn't start to rain anytime soon {who am I kidding? I live in Oregon}.
5. Going to Portland this weekend to spend time with the Nelson family {for those of you who don't know, that's my maiden name}. I can't wait to see my family. They're always a good time. Lot's of laughing, football, and treats {of course!}.
6. We are moving in December!!! {More details to come}.
I'm trying to figure out which website to use for linking up! If you are already participating in unfortunate and fortunate events, let everyone know in your comment! We want to read!
Happy Weekend!

I love fortunate and unfortunate. I should probably do my own post of this nature sometime soon. I also enjoy that you are from Portland. I went there for the first time last summer and really enjoyed it. I did not stop talking about it for months. I only was downtown and in the Pearl District so I imagine I missed quite a bit. Maybe I will make another trip back sometime soon.
ReplyDeleteExcited to hear about your move!
gorgeous cape!!

ReplyDeletej'adore!! this outfit is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteok, so unfortunate:
~getting dressed in a cute outfit yesterday, then going (in the rain) to the car only to realize that i'm freezing in the outfit, then having to run back to the house (in the rain) to put a thermal shirt on underneath that totally showed in all the wrong ways- i looked like a kid wearing a smock
fortunate:
~the gas station attendant (we can't pump it ourselves in nj) asking me to run to dunkin donuts to get him coffee cos he was cold but couldn't leave, and him buying me a super delicious pumpkin coffee as a thank you
i hope you'll come by my blog for a visit; i'd love to see you there!
have a great weekend :)

ReplyDeleteThe best thing about your two lists is that your Fortunate list slightly out weighs your Unfortunate list. Isn't life grand. :)
ReplyDeleteI really like your cape! Looks so cute but cozy too!
I absolutely love your outfit. It's adorable!
ReplyDeleteNapkins as toilet paper. ugh. Although, one time when I was volunteering abroad, I asked to use a bathroom at some random pit stop, the guy handed me newspaper to wipe.
Napkins don't sound as bad now :]
