the nelson family weekend getaways are always a good time . i can always count on lots of laughs and good conversation .
our family went to black butte { central oregon } in hopes of cross - country skiing . . . unfortunately . . . as you can tell by the pictures , there was not much snow on the ground . pretty much all i packed was snow clothes , and there was no snow to roll around in . we were all pretty bummed , but of course , we found lots of other ways to keep us entertained .
man , i love my family .

highlights from this weekend :
one : playing my moms game she's creating , "talk". oh my goodness , i was laughing so hard throughout the entire game that i thought i might pee my pants . i never thought the words "fart" and "hussy" would come out of my mothers mouth , let alone in the same sentence . also , by the end of the game , my sister and i figured out that my brother was by far the favorite child in the family . surprise . surprise . oh , and my dad is more in love with daniel craig than my mom . yep , that about sums it up .
two : going to the sisters coffee house . amazing { to say the least } . next time you drive through sisters , you MUST make a pit stop and try their milky way mocha . . . it is to die for .
three : walking around black butte . so gorgeous .
four : snuggling up by the fire with the family watching the beaver basketball game .
five : celebrating my sister and her 25th birthday !
