{running the race}

"...let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. let us fix our eyes on jesus the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart." {hebrews 12 v.1-3}

"i consider my life worth nothing to me, if only i may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me--the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace." {acts 20 v.24}

"since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit." {galations 5 v.25}

these verses encourage me to live my life for christ and not for myself. they remind me of how much sweeter a life with christ is than a life spent alone. they remind me that christ has a plan and purpose for my life, and that plan is one that is far more greater than one i could've made up on my own.
